Turkish stock exchange flat at midweek's open
BIST 100 index falls 1.2. points

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 14,049.62 points, down slightly 0.01% or 1.21 points from the previous close.
On Tuesday, the BIST 100 fell by 0.08% to close at 14,050.83 points, with a daily transaction volume of 172.4 billion Turkish liras ($3.93 billion).
As of 10.20 am local time (0720GMT), exchange rates stood at 43.8680 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 51.8070 to the euro, and 59.3550 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $5,185.80, while Brent crude oil was trading at $71 per barrel.
