Turkish stock exchange flat at open

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 10,421.64 points, slightly down 0.01% or 0.60 points from the previous close.

On Monday, the BIST 100 fell 0.81% to close at 10,422.24 points, with a daily transaction volume of 118 billion Turkish liras ($3.22 billion).

As of 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), exchange rates stood at 36.5820 liras to the US dollar, 39.7710 to the euro, and 47.1760 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,901.30, while Brent crude oil was trading at $69.25 per barrel.
