Turkish stock exchange opens higher on Friday
BIST 100 index gains 17.55 points at opening session

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Friday at 10,854.85 points, up 0.16% or 17.55 points from the previous close.
On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 fell 0.31%, closing at 10,837.30 points with a daily trading volume of 121 billion Turkish liras ($2.88 billion).
As of 9.50 am local time (0650GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate stood at 42.0440, the EUR/TRY rate was 48.6745, and the GBP/TRY rate was 55.3195.
The price of one ounce of gold was $4,007.10, while the barrel price of Brent oil was around $63.85.
