Turkish stock exchange opens lower on Friday
BIST 100 index drops 23.74 points at opening session

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Friday at 10,604.89 points, down 0.22% or 23.74 points from the previous close.
On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 fell 0.11%, closing at 10,628.6 points with a daily trading volume of 117 billion liras ($2.76 billion).
As of 9.50 am local time (0650GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate stood at 42.3290, the EUR/TRY rate was 49.2815, and the GBP/TRY rate was 55.7060.
The price of one ounce of gold was $4,174.15, while the barrel price of Brent oil was around $63.55.
