Turkish stock exchange opens Thursday on high note
Benchmark BIST 100 index gains 38.34 points at opening bell

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 11,378.44 points, rising 0.34%, or 38.34 points, from the previous close.
On Wednesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 rose 0.44% to close at 11,340.10 points, with a daily transaction volume of 141 billion Turkish liras ($3.28 billion).
As of 9.50 am local time (0650GMT), exchange rates stood at 42.8425 liras to the US dollar, 50.5765 to the euro, and 58.0065 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $4,479.35, while Brent crude oil was trading at $61.80 per barrel.
