Turkish stock exchange up at Friday open
Benchmark BIST 100 index rises 42.54 points at opening session

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Friday at 9,120.98 points, up 0.47% or 42.54 points from the previous close.
On Wednesday, before markets were closed on Thursday for Labor Day, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 fell 1.59% to close at 9,078.43 points, with a daily transaction volume of 93.6 billion Turkish liras ($2.43 billion)
As of 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), exchange rates stood at 38.5445 liras to the US dollar, 43.6950 to the euro, and 51.3745 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $3,250.90, while Brent crude oil was trading at $62.30 per barrel.
