Turkish stock exchange up at midweek's open
BIST 100 index earns around 33.5 points

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 14,260.82 points, up 0.24% or 33.53 points from the previous close.
On Tuesday, the BIST 100 fell by 0.78% to close at 14,227.29 points, with a daily transaction volume of 198.7 billion Turkish liras ($4.54 billion).
As of 10.45 am local time (0745GMT), exchange rates stood at 43.7575 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 51.8220 to the euro, and 59.4000 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $4,934.30, while Brent crude oil was trading at $67.10 per barrel.
