Turkish stocks close Monday at fresh all-time high

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gains 1.35% at close

ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index rose 1.35% to close Monday at an all-time high of 6,270.41 points.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 83.32 points from last week's close.

The total market value was around 5.4 trillion Turkish liras ($205.7 billion) by close, with a daily trading volume of 106 billion Turkish liras ($4.08 billion).

The index's lowest value was 6,228.19, while its daily high was 6,290.34, an intraday record.

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,928.25, while Brent crude oil sold for around $78.25 per barrel as of 6.14 p.m. local time (1514GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 26.0747, the euro/lira exchange rate was 28.6410, and a British pound traded at 33.4380 liras.
