Turkish stocks open Tuesday in red
Benchmark index loses 7.80 points from previous close

ANKARA (AA) –Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 5,725.06 points, falling 0.14%, or 7.80 points, from the previous close.
On Monday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed at 5,732.86 points, rising 2.69% with a daily trading volume of 75 billion Turkish liras ($2.90 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 25.5955 as of 9.54 a.m. local time (0654GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 27.9597, and a British pound traded for 32.6113 liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $74.73 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,936.20.
Borsa Istanbul will trade half-day on Tuesday before going into a break due to Eid al-Adha or Feast of the Sacrifice, a Muslim holiday.
