Turkish stocks up 0.51% at Monday's close

ANKARA (AA) – Turkey's benchmark stock index closed at 1,391.74 points on Monday, rising 0.51% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 1,393.19 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 7.06 points from Friday's close of 1,384.68 points.

One ounce of gold traded for $1,750.55 by market close, up from $1,747.50 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $78.67 per barrel as of 6.00 p.m. local time (1500GMT).
