Turkish stocks up at midweek's open
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gains 30 points

ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 5,449.30 points on Wednesday, up 0.56%, or 30.28 points, from the previous close.
On Tuesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index climbed 0.50% to close at 5,419.02 points, with a daily trading volume of 137 billion Turkish liras ($7.36 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 18.6588 as of 09.55 a.m. local time (0655GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 19.8056, and a British pound traded for 22.6823 Turkish liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $80.17 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was at $1,824.35.
