Turkish stocks up at opening session
BIST 100 index gains 24.32 points at opening session

ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkey’s benchmark stock index opened at 2,186.58 points on Thursday, up 24.32 points, or 1.12%, from the previous close.
The BIST 100 index rose 2.68% Wednesday to close the midweek at 2,162.26 points, with a daily trading volume of 27.7 billion Turkish liras ($1.9 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 15.0340 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), versus 14.7790 at the previous close.
The euro/lira exchange rate climbed to 16.9640 from 16.6230, while a British pound traded for 19.9220 liras, up from 19.6030.
Brent crude oil was sold for around $74.7 per barrel as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT).
