Turkish stocks up at opening session
BIST 100 index ends 4-day losing streak at Thursday's closing

ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkey’s benchmark stock index opened at 1.820,67 points on Friday, up 15.37 points, or 0.85%, from the previous close.
On Thursday, the BIST 100 index ended four-day losing streak and closed the day at 1,805.30 points after increasing 1.15 points, or 0.06%, with a daily trading volume of 35.4 billion Turkish liras ($3.09 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 11.5950 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), versus 11.3540 at the previous close.
The euro/lira exchange rate climbed to 13.1520 from 12.8410, while a British pound traded for 15.5650 liras, up from 15.2910.
Brent crude oil sold for around $76.5 per barrel as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT).
