Turkish, Ukrainian defense ministers discuss Russian attacks
Flow of humanitarian aid to Ukraine will continue, says Turkiye's National Defense Ministry

ANKARA (AA) - Turkiye's National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar and his Ukrainian counterpart Oleksii Reznikov discussed over phone the latest developments in Ukraine, which has been under Russian attacks, the National Defense Ministry said on Saturday.
According to a statement, Akar said Turkiye would continue to do its part on humanitarian aid to Ukrainians.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a “special military operation” on Thursday, days after recognizing two separatist-held enclaves in eastern Ukraine.
Fighting on the third day of the attack is said to have reached the streets of the capital Kyiv, with the UN Refugee Agency estimating more than 150,000 Ukrainian refugees having crossed into neighboring countries.
