Türkiye beat Thailand 3-1, securing semifinals spot in 2022 FIVB Women's Nations League

Crescent-Stars win quarterfinals game with sets 23-25, 25-15, 25-18, 25-21 in Turkish capital

ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye beat Thailand 3-1 in the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League quarterfinals on Thursday.

The Crescent-Stars won the game with the sets 23-25, 25-15, 25-18, and 25-21 in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye.

Eda Erdem Dundar and Ebrar Karakurt shared the status of leading scorer for their team with 17 points each, while Kongyot Ajcharaporn got the most points for Thailand with 21 points.

Türkiye will take on Italy next, while Brazil will play against Serbia in the semifinal round on Saturday.

The women's final and third-place game will be held on Sunday.

With three titles, the reigning champions US are also leading this tournament, held by the International Volleyball Federation since 2018.
