ANKARA (AA) — The very first Turkish E-Commerce Week is due to start soon, led by its Trade Ministry, featuring an event honoring successful e-commerce platforms.
The week will be held in Istanbul in cooperation with the E-commerce Operators’ Association and the Turkish Chambers and Stock Exchanges Union (TOBB).
Entrepreneurs, producers, and innovative brands contributing to the e-commerce ecosystem will be awarded in 12 categories on Nov. 21.
E-commerce’s successes in cross-border exports, platforms that develop innovative applications, those that support accessibility and environmentally conscious e-commerce brands, and platforms with creative storytelling will be awarded in their respective categories.
Entrepreneurs who made a difference in e-commerce will also be awarded under two “rising star” categories, one for women and another for young entrepreneurs.
E-commerce brands bringing Türkiye’s local cuisine to the digital world will be awarded under one category, while a creative campaign award will be given to projects that made a difference, as well as to platforms that contributed to the value of the e-commerce sector.
Applications are open until Nov. 9 and can be accessed at www.turkiyeeticarethaftasi.com/tr/turkiye-eticaret-odulleri.
