ANKARA (AA) – As Turkiye and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are important players in the region with their political and economic powers, Ankara has aimed at maintaining a foreign policy based on cooperation with the Gulf region and the Middle East.
These comments were made by Turkiye's Communications Director Fahrettin Altun on Saturday during a panel discussion on the two countries relations ahead of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to the UAE later this month.
The virtual panel discussion titled Looking to the Future: Turkiye-UAE Cooperation was organized by the country’s Communications Directorate.
During the discussion, participants from both the countries discussed the ways to further develop relations between the two nations and cooperation opportunities in different fields, the directorate said in a statement.
Altun said the panel will be useful in taking bilateral ties, which have recently gained momentum, to the next level.
"Turkiye and the UAE are important actors in the region with their political and economic powers. Turkiye aims to maintain a foreign policy based on collaboration with the Gulf region and the Middle East," he said.
