Türkiye's BIST 100 flat at Thursday close

Benchmark index falls 5.88 points from previous close

Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Thursday at 9,524.59 points, a decrease of 0.6% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 lost 5.88 points from Wednesday's close of 9.530,47 points.

The total market value of BIST 100 was around 8.1 trillion liras ($251 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 85 billion liras ($2.61 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,394.70, while Brent crude oil sold for around $86.62 per barrel as of 6.00 p.m. local time (1500GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 32.4615, the euro/lira exchange rate 34.7589, and the British pound traded at 40.4467 liras.
