Türkiye's BIST 100 flat at Thursday open

ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 4,920.26 points, marginally up by 0.01%, or 0.39 point, from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed out the midweek at 4,997.01 points, up 0.26%, with a daily trading volume of 51 billion Turkish liras ($2.66 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 19.2607 as of 10.05 a.m. local time (0705GMT), with the euro/lira exchange rate at 21.0173, while one British pound traded for 24.0287 Turkish liras.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $84.66 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $2,030.30.
