Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends day at record high

ISTANBUL (AA) -Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Tuesday at 11,529.81 points, up by 0.45%, an all-time high closing level.

Starting the day at 11,489.07 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 52.01 points from Monday's close.

The lowest value was 11,430.10, while the daily high was 11,605.30, an all-time high.

The market value of BIST 100 was around 10.7 trillion Turkish liras ($262.1 billion), with a trading volume of 182 billion Turkish liras ($4.4 billion).

Some 40 stocks on the index rose and 58 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $3,385 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $66.80 per barrel as of 6.50 pm local time (1550GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 41.0260, and the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 47.8460, while the British pound traded for 55.3650 Turkish liras.
