Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends day with gains

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Thursday at 10,828.93 points, up by 0.85%.

Starting the day at 10,763.07 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 91.25 points from Wednesday's close.

The lowest value was 10,763.07, while the daily high was 10,870.69, an all-time high.

The market value of BIST 100 was around 10 trillion Turkish liras ($245.4 billion), with a trading volume of 139 billion Turkish liras ($3.37 billion).

Some 67 stocks on the index rose and 33 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $3,553.40 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $67 per barrel as of 7.40 pm local time (1640GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 41.1645, and the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 48.0520, while the British pound traded for 55.4085 Turkish liras.
