Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends Monday in green

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Monday at 10,853.49 points, rising 0.99%.

Starting the week at 10,807.25 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 106.51 points from Friday's close.

The lowest value was 10,806.82, while the daily high was 10,926.27.

The market value of the BIST 100 was around 10.1 trillion Turkish liras ($249.4 billion), with a daily trading volume of 115.5 billion Turkish liras ($2.84 billion).

Some 71 stocks on the index rose and 27 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $3,374.25 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $68.85 per barrel as of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 40.6775, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 47.1120, while the British pound traded for 54.1290 Turkish liras.
