Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends Tuesday down

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Tuesday at 10,467.20 points, falling 0.16% from the previous close.

After starting the day at 10,487.41 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index dropped 17.19 points from Monday's close.

The lowest value was 10,408.09, while the daily high 10,534.21.

The market value of BIST 100 was around 9.75 trillion Turkish liras ($232.9 billion), with a daily trading volume of 120.8 billion Turkish liras ($2.87 billion).

Some 52 stocks on the index fell and 45 rose, compared to the previous close.

Gold was at $4,131.85 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $61.05 per barrel as of 6.25 pm local time (1525GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 41.9655, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 48.7660, while the British pound traded for 56.2330 Turkish liras.
