Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends Tuesday flat

Benchmark index loses 10.88 points at close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended the day at 14,050.83 points on Tuesday, slightly falling 0.08% from its previous close.

After starting the day at 14,011.20 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index dropped 10.88 points from Monday's close.

The lowest value for the index was 13,897.24, while the daily high 14,093.04.

The market value of BIST 100 was around 13.96 trillion Turkish liras ($319.07 billion), with a trading volume of 172.4 billion Turkish liras ($3.93 billion).

Some 27 stocks on the index rose and 69 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $5,139.55 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $71.35 per barrel as of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 43.8595, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 51.6525, and the British pound traded for 59.2490 Turkish liras.
