Turkiye's BIST 100 index flat at Thursday's open

ANKARA (AA) - Turkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 2,184.77 points on Thursday, up 1.67 points or 0.08% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index fell 0.26% to close at 2,183.10 points on Wednesday, with a daily trading volume of 33 billion Turkish liras ($2.2 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate fell to 14.8286 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT) from 14.8550 at Wednesday's close.

The euro/lira exchange rate also decreased to 16.2891 from 16.3210, while one British pound traded for 19.5577 Turkish liras, down from 19.6570 at the last close.

Brent crude oil traded for around $120.31 per barrel at 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT), falling 1.05%.
