Türkiye's BIST 100 index flat at weekly close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Friday at 10,720.36 points, slightly down 0.06%.

After starting the day at 10,737.92 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index dropped 6.62 points from Thursday's close.

The lowest value was 10,654.20, while the daily high was 10,784.57.

The market value of BIST 100 was around 9.94 trillion Turkish liras ($238.8 billion), with a trading volume of 105.6 billion Turkish liras ($2.52 billion).

Some 54 stocks on the index rose and 45 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $4,006.90 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $63.05 per barrel as of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 41.8260, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 48.5730, while the British pound traded for 55.8105 Turkish liras.
