Türkiye's BIST 100 index hits all-time high

Benchmark index up to record high of 11,301.84 points, rising more than 1.3%

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index on Thursday reached an all-time high of 11,301.84 points, rising around 1.3%.

After hitting the record peak, the BIST 100 index stood at around 11,284.70 points as of 0838GMT.

Earlier this month, the stock index topped the 11,000-point threshold for the first time since July 2024, before stabilizing at around 11,000.

The BIST 100’s historic peak was seen on July 18, 2024, at 11,252 points.

After starting Thursday at 11,195.98 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index has earned more than 129 points from Wednesday's close.

Since the beginning of the year, the BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul has outperformed the world's major indices with a return of approximately 14.4%.

The market value of the BIST 100 also exceeded 10.3 trillion Turkish liras (around $254 billion).
