Türkiye's BIST 100 index opens Friday flat

ISTANBUL (AA) -Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened the last trading day of the week at 11,366.82 points, slightly down 0.09%, or 10.73 points, from the previous close.

On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 rose 0.09% to close at 11,377.55 points, with a daily transaction volume of 121 billion Turkish liras ($2.93 billion).

As of 10.12 am local time (0712GMT), exchange rates stood at 41.5680 liras to the US dollar, 48.5820 to the euro, and 55.5745 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $3,742.80, while Brent crude oil was trading at $68.70 per barrel.
