Türkiye's BIST 100 index opens Friday in green

ISTANBUL (AA) -Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened the last trading day of the week at 10,879.47 points, up 0.47%, or 50.54 points, from the previous close.

On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 climbed 0.85% to close at 10,828.93 points, with a daily transaction volume of 139 billion Turkish liras ($3.37 billion).

As of 09.55 am local time (0655GMT), exchange rates stood at 41.2520 liras to the US dollar, 48.1810 to the euro, and 55.5905 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $3,552.55, while Brent crude oil was trading at $66.70 per barrel.
