Türkiye's BIST 100 index opens Friday on high note

ISTANBUL (AA) -Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened the last trading day of the week at 10,699.82 points, up 0.86%, or 10.93 points, from the previous close.

On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 gained 0.54% to close at 10,608.26 points, with a daily transaction volume of 151 billion liras ($3.59 billion).

As of 09.55 am local time (0655GMT), exchange rates stood at 42.0580 liras to the US dollar, 48.8745 to the euro, and 56.1100 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $4,095.20, while Brent crude oil was trading at $65.05 per barrel.
