Türkiye's BIST 100 index up 1.66% at close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Tuesday at 11,182.96 points, soaring 1.66%.

Starting the day at 11,034.02 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 182.7 points from Monday's close.

The lowest value was 10,999.98, while the daily high was 11,194.88.

The market value of BIST 100 was around 10.4 trillion Turkish liras ($250.3 billion), with a trading volume of 169 billion Turkish liras ($4.1 billion).

Some 83 stocks on the index rose and 16 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $3,688.95 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $68.15 per barrel as of 7.20 pm local time (1620GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 41.2720, and the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 48.9820, while the British pound traded for 56.4205 Turkish liras.
