Turkiye's BIST 100 index up at Tuesday open

BIST 100 index increases 10.2 points from previous close

ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 2,321.61 points on Tuesday, up 10.21 points or 0.44%, from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up 2.65% to close at 2,311.40 points on Monday, with a daily trading volume of 50.3 billion Turkish liras ($3.4 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 14.7080 as of 10.00 a.m. local time (0700GMT), versus 14.7030 at Monday's close.

The euro/lira exchange rate also decreased slightly to 16.1490 from 16.1550, while a British pound traded for 19.3270 liras, down from 19.3430 at the last close.

Brent crude oil was sold for around $109 per barrel as of 10 a.m. local time, while the ounce price of gold was at $1,932.30.
