Türkiye's BIST 100 index up at weekly close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Friday at 10,358.46 points, up 0.26%.

Starting the day at 10,415.69 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 27.15 points from Thursday's close.

The lowest value was 10,269.95, while the daily high was 10,441.05.

The market value of BIST 100 was around 9.53 trillion Turkish liras ($238.5 billion), with a trading volume of 114 billion Turkish liras ($2.83 billion).

Some 49 stocks on the index rose and 49 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $3,358.80 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $69.80 per barrel as of 7 pm local time (1600GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 40.1760, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 47.0840, while the British pound traded for 54.3470 Turkish liras.
