Türkiye's BIST 100 up at weekly close

Lowest value of index at 13,718.14, while daily high at 13,934.06

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended the week on Friday at 13,934.06 points, up 0.94% day-by-day.

After starting the day at 13,782.50 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 129.85 points from Thursday's close.

The lowest value of the index was 13,718.14, while the daily high was 13,934.06.

The market value of the BIST 100 was around 13.85 trillion Turkish liras ($316.9 billion), with a trading volume of 171 billion liras ($3.9 billion).

A total of 70 stocks on the index rose and 26 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $5,035.95 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $70.9 per barrel as of 6.45 pm local time (1545GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 43.8420, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 51.7195, and the British pound traded for 59.2710 liras.
