Türkiye's industrial output rebounds in December 2022

ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's industrial output improved on a monthly basis in December, after posting a decline a month earlier, data from the country's statistical agency showed on Friday.

Industrial production rose 1.6% month-on-month in December last year, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).

"While mining and quarrying index increased by 2.3% and manufacturing index increased by 1.7%, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index decreased by 0.2% in December 2022, compared with previous month," TurkStat said.

On an annual basis, industrial production fell 0.2% in December, following an upwardly revised decrease of 1.1% in November.
