Türkiye’s international reserves hit all-time high

As of Aug. 8, international reserves reach record high of $174.4B

ISTANBUL (AA) - The Turkish Central Bank's official international reserves hit an all-time high of $174.4 billion as of Aug. 8, according to official figures released on Thursday.

The reserves rose 3.2%, or $5.38 billion from the previous week's $168.99 billion, Türkiye's Central Bank said.

Foreign currency reserves — in convertible foreign currencies — increased 3.4% to $79.9 billion compared to the previous week.

The bank's gold reserves — including gold deposits and, if appropriate, gold-swapped —were up by 3.2% to $86.8 billion in the same period.

The total of the IMF reserve position and special drawing rights also increased 0.8% to reach $7.7 billion as of Aug. 8.
