MOSCOW (AA) - Head of Ukraine's Presidential Office Andriy Yermak said on Friday that his delegation held talks with Western representatives ahead of the contacts with the Russian delegation on the peace settlement in Istanbul.

"Together with Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, we met with US President's Special Envoy Keith Kellogg, National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of Great Britain Jonathan Powell, Diplomatic Advisor to the President of France Emmanuel Bonn, and Advisor to the Chancellor of Germany on Foreign Policy and Security Gunther Sauter," he wrote on Telegram.

Yermak added that his delegation "coordinated positions" with the Western partners and allies before the meeting in Istanbul.

"Ukraine is ready for peace and a long-term and unconditional ceasefire. Also ready for meetings and negotiations at the highest level," he said.

He also emphasized that the Ukrainian delegation will prioritize declaring an unconditional ceasefire at Friday's talks.
