ISTANBUL (AA) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met Tuesday with a delegation from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Parliamentary Assembly, during the group’s president Pere Joan Pons’ first visit to Ukraine.

Sybiha said in a statement on Telegram that he appreciated the group’s “principled stance and strong voice in support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”

He briefed the delegation on the battlefield situation and what he described as Russia’s intensified attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

The two sides focused on strengthening the role of the OSCE’s parliamentary dimension in responding to “the biggest security threat in the OSCE area – Russia’s war against Ukraine.”

They also discussed international efforts to return Ukrainian children deported to Russia and the possibility of the parliamentary assembly joining the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children.
