ANKARA (AA) - Kiev and Tbilisi agreed to deepen relations, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said on Monday.
"The joint implementation of projects in various sectors, primarily transport infrastructure and transit capacities, are considered necessary to enhance cooperation between the two countries, boost mutual trade, and offer new trade routes to the world," Groysman said.
Groysman's remarks came during his official visit to Georgia's capital Tibilisi, where he met his Georgian counterpart Giorgi Kvirikashvili, according to the Ukrainian Prime Ministry statement.
Grosyman said Georgia was among the top 20 promising markets for Ukrainian exports.
"At present, we have set the task to bring trade turnover to $1 billion. Agriculture, tourism and energy are among the fruitful areas of cooperation," he added.
Kvirikashvili said: "We attach great importance to our interaction, and we have a solid basis for our mutual relations. Hence, by joining endeavors we can yield a substantive result."
He also said Georgia supported the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
