Ukrainian special operations teams in Kharkiv on front line in eastern Ukraine receive continuous combat training on days when they do not engage in fighting

KHARKIV, Ukraine (AA) - Ukrainian special operations teams deployed in the Kharkiv region on the front line in eastern Ukraine receive continuous combat training on days when they do not engage in combat.
Anadolu Agency viewed the tactical combat training of the special action battalion held at a point in the Kharkiv region.
Special operations personnel, who carry out military operations at various points of the front line, where air attacks are carried out and artillery systems are used, also undergo various combat training.
The commander of the special operations battalion, code-named "Gor,” told Anadolu Agency that the soldiers in the battalion constantly participate in combat activities.
The groups participating in the operations on the front line change frequently and the soldiers who are not in combat are given combat training, the commander said, adding: "No one stays idle. While some go to the special operation, the other soldiers undergo training. The soldiers of the special operations battalion undergo training six days a week."

The commander also stressed that the training groups went back to the front line and the soldiers who returned from the operations continued their training.
He noted: "We provide all kinds of training necessary for tactics, health, weapon use, sharpshooting, and to be ready for war at all times."
Similar special operations battalions are located in various parts of the country, the commander said, and added that there are only local citizens in their battalion.
