UN forecast puts India’s population ahead of China’s in 2023
India's population increased 1 million each month since 2014 to 1.43 billion UN expects

ISTANBUL (AA) - India's population will exceed China in 2023, according to a recent UN prediction on population.
The UN forecast said India's population will reach 1.429 billion this year while the expectation for China was for it to be 1.426 billion.
China's population a decade ago was at 1.385 billion, while India's was at 1.307 billion.
During the 10-year period, China's population increased 2.96% while India's rose 9.33%.
India's population has increased by 122 million since 2014, around 1 million per month.
