Unemployment at 6% in EU, 6.5% in eurozone
Spain posts highest unemployment rate among member states with 12.8% in March

ISTANBUL (AA) — The EU's unemployment rate was at 6% in March, down from 6.2% in the same month last year, according to figures Eurostat shared Wednesday.
The unemployment rate was also at 6.5% in the euro area, decreasing from 6.8% in the same month last year.
Eurostat estimated that some 12.9 million people across the bloc were unemployed; of whom 11 million were in eurozone.
The joblessness rate for people under 25 years old was at 14.3% both in the EU and the euro area in March.
Among member states, the highest unemployment rates were in Spain with 12.8%, Greece with 10.9%, and Italy with 7.8%.
The lowest rates were posted by the Czech Republic with 2.6%, and Germany and Poland, both with 2.8%.
