ANKARA (AA) - At least 13 Daesh terrorists were killed in northern Syria in the last 24 hours as part of Operation Euphrates Shield, the military said Friday.

The statement added that 70 Daesh targets, including shelters and weapon emplacements, were hit by Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighters with Turkish army support.

In addition, Turkish aircraft destroyed seven other targets, including a building used as a hideout, a crane and an arsenal. Separately, a weapon-mounted vehicle was destroyed in an airstrike by coalition jets.

In a later statement, the Turkish military said 185 terrorists -- 166 Daesh and 19 PKK/PYD -- were killed in northern Syria over the past week.

Turkey and the FSA have been focused on liberating Al-Bab from Daesh since late November as part of Operation Euphrates Shield, launched in late August to clear the terror threat along Turkey’s southern border.
