UPDATE 3 - Terrorist killed in clash outside police building in SE Turkey

UPDATES WITH A SUSPECT ARRESTED

GAZIANTEP, Turkey (AA) - Turkish police arrested a suspect believed to have been involved in an attack in front of the Security Directorate building in the southeastern city of Gaziantep Tuesday, according to the security sources.

Earlier in the day, Turkish police killed a terrorist in the shootout following the armed attack on the vehicle entrance checkpoint at 3:20 p.m. local time. One police officer was also slightly wounded.

The sources, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on talking to the media, said police launched an operation to capture the three suspects who opened fire on police officers following the attack.

During the pursuit, an injured suspect was arrested, while two others fled the scene. The operations are ongoing to capture those who may have conspired with the terrorist.

Following the attack, security has been tightened in the city.
