Sohail Mahmood says agency's book on the defeated July 15 coup is a source which has a historical importance for everyone

ANKARA (AA) - Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkey Sohail Mahmood paid a visit to Anadolu Agency's headquarters in the capital Ankara Friday.
Mahmood met with Metin Mutanoglu, the agency’s deputy director general and editor-in-chief, and Faruk Tokat, international news editor-in-chief.
Mutanoglu and Tokat spoke about the aftermath of the July 15 defeated coup that left 240 martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.
Mutanoglu presented the ambassador a copy of Anadolu Agency’s comprehensive illustrated history of the defeated putsch, "FETO's Coup Attempt in Turkey: A Timeline."
"This is a source which has a historical importance for everyone," Mahmood said of the book.
Mahmood praised the agency’s presence in his country, adding that Anadolu Agency plays an important role in publishing and transmitting news in Pakistan.
"To us, Anadolu Agency’s news is more reliable than other agencies’," stressed Mahmood who also toured the agency’s headquarters and visited its various departments.
