Israeli army says the Palestinian man was shot and evacuated for medical treatment

JERUSALEM (AA) – Israeli forces shot a Palestinian in an alleged stabbing attempt in the West Bank city of Hebron on Monday, according to the Israeli military.

In a statement, the army said the Palestinian man attempted to stab Israeli civilians and an officer near the settlement of Kiryat Arba in Hebron.

The Palestinian was shot by Israeli soldiers and was evacuated to hospital for medical treatment, the army said.

No injuries were reported among Israeli soldiers.

There was no comment from Palestinian authorities on the incident.
