UPDATE - Rally Turkey Day 1: Citroen's Lappi leads overall

UPDATES WITH DRIVER STANDINGS AFTER SS5

MUGLA, Turkey (AA) - Citroen driver Esapekka Lappi is leading the first day of Rally Turkey Friday with an overall of 1:19:03.1, while two more stages are left to go.

Icmeler 1 (SS2), Cetibeli 1 (SS3) -- the longest stage of the weekend -- Ula 1 (SS4) and Icmeler 2 (SS5) stages have completed so far.

Drivers will repeat Cetibeli and Ula stages during the rest of the day.

After topping the SS2 and SS4 in his Toyota Yaris, Jari-Matti Latvala dropped five places in the overall standings. Lappi was the fastest in the SS3, while the other Toyota driver Kriss Meeke, who races for the first time in Marmaris, leaded the SS5.

The championship challengers Ott Tanak and Sebastien Ogier gained one position after SS5, while Thierry Neuville remained seventh based on the overall timetable.
