UPDATE - Turkish foreign minister arrives in Jordan

UPDATES WITH TURKISH FOREIGN MINISTER’S ARRIVAL IN JORDAN, CHANGES HEADLINE, LEDE

ANKARA (AA) – Turkey’s top diplomat arrived late Monday in Jordan for a two-day visit at the invitation of his Jordanian counterpart.

“We are in friendly and brotherly Jordan to discuss bilateral and regional relations,” Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Twitter.

Earlier, the Turkish Foreign Ministry announced Cavusoglu’s visit in a statement, saying he and Ayman Safadi, Jordan’s minister of foreign affairs, will discuss bilateral and regional issues.

“During the talks and meetings on the sidelines of the visit, all aspects of our bilateral relations with friendly and brotherly Jordan will be discussed, and views on regional and international issues will be exchanged,” the statement said.
