JAKARTA/ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta on Tuesday after concluding a two-day official visit to Malaysia.

Erdogan was welcomed by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, Turkish Ambassador to Jakarta Talip Kucukcan and other officials at the Halim Perdanakusuma Military Airport.

The presidential entourage includes first lady Emine Erdogan, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Defense Minister Yasar Guler, and Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar.

Erdogan and the first lady took photos with Indonesian children who welcomed them with Turkish and Indonesian flags upon their arrival at the hotel where they will stay for the duration of their visit.

The Turkish president is expected to hold a bilateral meeting with his Indonesian counterpart at the Bogor Presidential Palace on Wednesday, and also attend the first meeting of the High Level Cooperation Council, the signing ceremony of agreements and a joint press conference.

On Sunday, Erdogan embarked on a four-day visit covering Malaysia, Indonesia, and Pakistan.
