US: Clinton less popular than Trump
39 percent view Clinton favorably as Trump faces his own approval woes as president

NEW YORK (AA) - Hillary Clinton is less popular than her former rival, the now President Donald Trump, a new poll showed Tuesday.
Only 39 percent of Americans view the Democratic candidate in last year's presidential election favorably, two points less than that of Trump, according to a Bloomberg survey.
During the 2016 race for the Oval Office, Clinton and Trump had consistently low favorability ratings, with Trump's scores falling as low as minus 20.
Clinton, however, was almost always the more popular candidate, reflected in the final popular vote count that showed a nearly 3 million vote lead versus Trump – the most ever by a losing candidate in U.S. history.
There is a "growing discontent with Hillary Clinton as she has largely stayed out of the spotlight,” said pollster Ann Selzer who oversaw the survey.
The Bloomberg poll comes two days after ABC and the Washington Post released a survey that showed Trump's disapproval rating had sunk to 58 percent.
With 36 percent approving of the job he is doing, Trump is about to mark his six months in office as the least popular president in the last seven decades for which data is available.
He fumed on Twitter about the survey Sunday being "just about the most inaccurate poll around election time!".
